Please bring your RSM membership card to borrow and renew items from the Library. A self-service kiosk - located next to the enquiry desk – is available for borrowing, renewing and returning items.
How to borrow and renew
RSM members can borrow up to eight items at any one time. Both books and journals can be borrowed for up to four weeks.
Do you live outside of London? We can post books and journal issues to you, free of charge, anywhere in the UK. Items weighing over 2kg or sent by First Class post or overseas can be posted for a fee (email@example.com charges).
The majority of the Library collection is available to borrow, apart from reference material and items held in our secure stacks. There may also be some loan restrictions to protect fragile or valuable items or to make them more widely available for readers.
If the Library is unstaffed you can return items via the self-service kiosk next to the enquiry desk.
If you wish to return items by post they must be packaged securely and addressed to: RSM Library, 1 Wimpole Street, London, W1G 0AE. We advise you to use recorded delivery.
Reminders will be sent to you if you have overdue items. If an item is overdue by more than six weeks, you will receive an invoice from the Library for the replacement cost of the item, together with a £20 administration fee. This fee remains payable even if the item is subsequently returned.
Requesting items not at the RSM
An inter-library loan service is available for books and material not held in the RSM’s Library collection. The Library staff will source the majority of requests from the British Library, with material sourced from other institutions as necessary.
A small charge is made for the inter-library loan service, calculated according to the speed of delivery. Prices start from £15.
To request an inter-library loan, contact the Library enquiry desk by firstname.lastname@example.org.
