For working doctors and consultants (FY1 to ST8), retired doctors, and those holding senior management positions in medicine or healthcare.
For scientists and other professionals with a proven interest (or role) in the healthcare sector, but who do not hold a medical qualification.
For those studying medicine, dentistry or another healthcare-related subject, who are on their way to becoming a qualified medical or healthcare professional.
For over 200 years, the RSM has been a meeting point for the medical, science and healthcare communities. We’ve long been a platform for education, exchange and debate, driving advances across the board, from prevention and diagnostics to treatment and care. Today, we still excel in bringing people together to discuss the topics that matter most, be it COVID-19 or global health inequalities. And the more perspectives the better.
If you’re involved in healthcare in any capacity and anywhere in the world - from newly qualified paramedic, to retired surgeon, to medical lawyer - you’re welcome to join us. Membership delivers an unrivalled array of learning and career development opportunities and resources, plus a genuine sense of community.
We want you to consider the Club facilities – from restaurant, hotel and meetings spaces - as your central London home-from-home and handy workplace.
Very well organised and very useful learning event. It had a wonderful comprehensive international programme. The case studies were extremely useful and generated lots of discussion around treatment dilemmas.
Our library holds clinical and research material for over 50 specialties, and it is also your gateway to a wealth of digital resources, online courses, webinars and tutorials, which you can access from anywhere in the world. Plus our brilliant library team can help you with everything from literature searches to information skills training.
Our central London Club is the heart of our community. It’s a great place to meet and socialise with your peers, or to find a quiet space for work or study.
RSM membership is a chance to widen your professional circle, both at organised events and more informally. Chance meetings have already led to exciting collaborations and we look forward to provoking more.
Our specialist Sections run numerous events each year covering all major branches of medicine and healthcare, from ‘Maternity and the Newborn’ to ‘Palliative Care’.
The RSM has always responded to the biggest health challenges of the day. Right now, we’re sharing insights and innovation in areas such as COVID-19, health inequalities and climate change.
As always, the hotel, and indeed the whole of the RSM, was a welcome oasis in the busy central London. We attended the Summer Conference of the Neonatal Society and throughout the building felt that everything possible had been done to maintain comfort while maximising safety.
…the RSM has helped guide me on different career options, including holding some brilliant psychiatry meetings for students. It’s a specialty I’ll definitely be interested in once I’ve qualified.
If you’re in medicine or healthcare anywhere in the world, we have a place for you. Our Society is truly international and we currently have members from around 100 countries.
