We are saddened to hear about the death of Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Kent.
The Duchess of Kent supported numerous medical and charitable causes throughout her life, and was inaugurated as an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine in recognition of her work.
Paying tribute, Professor Gillian Leng CBE, President of the Royal Society of Medicine, said:
"Her Royal Highness will be remembered with great affection and respect for her lifelong dedication to public service and devotion to the many organisations she was associated with, including the Royal Society of Medicine. It was our great privilege to welcome Her Royal Highness at the Royal Society of Medicine when she became an Honorary Fellow in 1994. We will cherish these fond memories."
