RSM seeks Co-opted Member to join Education Committee

The RSM is seeking to appoint a Co-opted Member to join its Education Committee on 1 October 2025. The role will focus on healthcare education and the position is an opportunity for a dedicated individual to play a key part in shaping the future of the RSM's educational provision.

Meeting four times a year, the Education Committee supports the RSM Council in ensuring the organisation delivers its mission of sharing learning across all areas of healthcare. Co-opted Members play a vital role by contributing expertise, experience, and insights to advance the committee’s work.

Key responsibilities of this unremunerated role include providing independent and informed advice on educational matters, contributing to the development of strategies and policies, and evaluating the effectiveness of the RSM's educational provision. All committee members are expected to attend quarterly meetings (typically lasting two hours) and commit to additional reading and involvement in working groups or sub-committees as required.

 Person Specification – Healthcare Education

  • Relevant background or expertise in healthcare delivery and health education landscape.
  • Understanding of the evolving landscape of healthcare education and workforce development.
  • Awareness of opportunities for strengthening our learning and development offer.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and improving outcomes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with committee members and stakeholders.
