Andrew Krentz is a clinician, researcher, medical educator, founding journal editor and author. His postgraduate experience was gained at leading academic and life science institutions in the UK and USA. He currently holds visiting chairs at King’s College London and the University of Reading. Andrew’s clinical interests encompass diabetes and endocrinology, hypertension, lipid metabolism and andrology. In collaboration with colleagues across a range of clinical specialties his aim is to improve the care of people living with multiple long-term cardiometabolic disorders. He is also exploring innovative methods to deliver personalised precision medicine. Andrew served as President of the Vascular Lipid & Metabolic Medicine section from 2022 to 2024. He assumes the Chair of the Academic Board in 2025 at which point he will become a member of Council and a Trustee.
